    • Fixed RMS current calculation and time-averaged motion charts to ensure correct analysis results.
    • Corrected total loss calculation by removing AC loss double-counting.
    • Fixed demagnetisation prediction so it correctly reports a binary (0/1) result.
    • Resolved several locale-dependent conversion issues affecting numerical accuracy.

    • Fixed incorrect speed data in UNV exports.
    • Corrected rotor bar alignment in skewed squirrel-cage rotors with end ring overhang.
    • Improved 3D IM exports so air gap and air enclosure correctly account for end ring geometry.
    • Stronger SCDX Export Quality
    • Improved SCDX exports for all motor types (linear skew support planned for a future release).
    • Enabled SCDX export directly from the Results section.
    • Added proper electrical insulation handling between step-skewed magnets in 3D exports.
    • Clarified warnings related to idealised stator and rotor end windings.

    A new version of the Simcenter MAGNET is now available.

    Corrected Problems fixed in the release:

    • Surface force results are inconsistent over successive calculations
    • Corrected the solver DC resistance calculations in 3D when the strandarea is set. When the fill factor was far from 1, this could lead to incorrect results
    • Fixed a reference to "Should be" constraints that no longer exist in avalidation message.
    • Fixed a user-reported bug: "Design optimization corrupt model file afteroptimization - Case 01338525" that caused problems with a file opened in SimcenterMAGNET Design Optimization.
    • Normal and tangential fields are wrong for older .en file.
    • Failure occurs with two motion components when there are no coilcomponents in the model. The error is caught before starting the solve.

    • Added the missing reporting for material resistivity differences in the tooltip.
    • Fixed BUG 32221: "Internal error when pasting in anisotropic dialog"
    • Fixed a bug that was preventing animations from being generated in the Field pagebefore any fields are displayed.
    • Fixed the logic of the disabled status in the property page to match the (correct) logicin the group panel context menu.
    • Fixed an issue in the MAGNET circuit window where the canvas is notautomatically extended when a circuit is loaded.
    • Fixed the integration of 'surface unit normal' field.

    • PHP-1242 - Partial fix of rollover text of Plug-in.

    • An option for manual mesh settings in TransformerBuilder. The user can redefine automatic mesh which might be very dense for 3D mesh, especially on coils.
    • Optimization of working process with multiple designs in one Trafosolve file. Now switching between designs is much faster.
    • Improving Trafosolve interface and display experience for Korean users.

    New features in this new release include the following.

    • Added a function to calculate the Windings losses profiles and the Q factor according to the IEC 60076-2 standard.
    • Added an ability to calculate the Winding force profiles.
    • Added a pdf report according to the IEC 60076-5 standard and Windings Cumulative force profiles.

    New feature Highlights:

    • Improved behaviour of the Voltage Waveform Multiplier when transforming components in Simcenter Magnet Electric.
    • Added a parameter to check which version of Magnet modified the model last (Can be used for scripting in conjunction with HEEDS software).
    • Added a heat source property field for Simcenter MAGNET Thermal.

    The new version of TrafoSolve from Infologic Design was released a few days ago, and is now ready for download by all our supported customers, and for evaluation.

    TrafoSolve v2.1

    TrafoSolve from Infologic Design provides an automatic control of the Simcenter MAGNET Suite of products for rapid transformer design. It is an easy and logical interface, allowing users to input transformer characteristics quickly, and to select the type of results required, such as Short circuit analysis, Force calculation, Harmonic analysis, Open Circuit, or Temperature analysis.

    The data input using the simple user interface is used to build a Simcenter MAGNET model, and to run the appropriate analyses. The results are then extracted and put back into the TrafoSolve user interface module.

    New features in this new release include the following.

    • templates - users can create their own templates within TrafoSolve, save them, and subsequently load these as required to quickly try out new variations of a design
    • wire schematics window - this allows the user to see conductor dimensions for every type of wire (rectangular, round, foil, twin, triple, CTC, and Litz)
    • new Coil Wizard for disc type windings
    • extended force calculation to include buckling, bending and tilting forces.

    TrafoSolve v2.0

    This web seminar will introduce part of the Simcenter traction motor low-frequency electromagnetic-thermal CFD solution. The solution will show how to quickly set up the motor model and analyse its electromagnetic and thermal performance in Simcenter Motorsolve™. Since thermal analysis is mainly a 3D problem, 3D features such as end-windings will be added in Simcenter MAGNET and the model solved for electromagnetic heat-losses.

    The losses will be transferred into Simcenter FLOEFD™, and together with HEEDS™, the housing will be optimised to improve cooling by accounting for the flow rates and the allowable pressure drop.

Important Announcement for Motorsolve and SPEED users
We are happy to announce, that Simcenter Motorsolve has received a huge update and now goes as E-machine Design. This includes most of the Motorsolve 2212 features and SPEED combined into one package (except exports, so far we have exports to Magnet only) with FEA using MAGNET solver, combining with SPEED well-proven analytical solvers.
